On 11 September 2026, NFRC announced a panel on membrane suitability at UK Construction Week, scheduled for 30 September. Its announcement highlights the relationship between product selection, specification, installation and requirements around building performance, energy efficiency and fire safety.
This is an industry discussion, rather than an announcement that every existing domestic roof must be replaced. The useful takeaway for a homeowner is to ask how the proposed components work together on their particular roof.
