Local Crawley coverage with the technical detail behind it
Crawley has a huge number of garages, extensions, dormers and commercial roofs where a flat system is the right solution. We focus on falls, outlets, edge details and substrate condition as much as the membrane itself.
Areas of Crawley we cover

Pound Hill, Maidenbower, Furnace Green, Tilgate, Broadfield, Three Bridges and surrounding RH10/RH11 neighbourhoods. We also work in Three Bridges and nearby towns including Horley, Horsham and East Grinstead.
Many Crawley streets were built in coherent phases, so neighbouring homes can share tile profiles and roof forms. That is useful context, but extensions, loft work, replacement coverings and decades of repairs mean two similar houses can now behave very differently. We inspect the roof in front of us.
Conservation and planning context
Crawley Borough Council identifies designated conservation areas. That does not mean ordinary repairs suddenly become complicated, but if work changes external appearance, roof form or a protected building, it is worth checking the planning position first. Our Crawley roof planning guide links to the current council information.

Get the right next step
Send the postcode, a short description and any safe ground-level photos you already have. We can then arrange an inspection or advise what information we need next.
Find out why the flat roof is leaking
A split membrane, open seam, loose trim or failed rooflight corner can often be repaired locally when the surrounding covering and deck are sound. Widespread brittleness, repeated patches or movement beneath the surface point towards a larger problem. We assess the waterproofing and the layers supporting it, rather than choosing a repair solely from the size of the stain on the ceiling.
Choose a system for the roof itself
EPDM rubber, GRP fibreglass and modern felt suit different combinations of shape, substrate and detailing. A simple garage roof may have few penetrations; an extension can have several rooflights, low window sills and a tight wall junction. The system should be selected after those constraints are understood. Preparation and workmanship at the edges matter as much as the main field of waterproofing.
Drainage, insulation and roof height
Where water collects, the outlet position and falls need checking. On a heated room, replacement also requires thought about insulation and vapour control. Adding thickness changes the height available at rooflights and flashings, so these decisions should be made together. An overlay is only sensible where retained layers are suitable; covering damp or unstable material can leave the underlying problem unresolved.
A quotation you can compare
Ask whether the price includes removing old material, deck repairs, the specified membrane, insulation where required, perimeter trims, outlets and waste. The guarantee should relate to the installation described. We explain the proposed work and any areas that remain uncertain until the roof is opened, so you can compare complete scopes.
